Autumn Clothing Haul

Hi Guys,

We all do it don't we? Justify buying new clothes by the change in season.
I've picked up some items of clothing over the past few weeks that I thought I would share with you.

After my mum took my sisters to Matalan for some new clothes, I found I was quickly borrowing some of it, so I made a trip myself and purchased a couple of jumpers, ready for the drop in temperatures!

The fit of this teal jumper is so beautiful and it was only £14

I've seen this style of jumper with a 'shirt under it' popping up in a few places now. The doves on the shirt are so pretty and for £18 it's cheaper than buying a shirt and jumper separately!

Miss Guided
I also made my first ever purchase on Miss Guided as they had 25% off for students!
I have a major obsession with skater skirts right now, so this deep green one is a perfect autumn colour addition and it was only £5.99!
Following on with the skater skirt obsession, I bought a skater dress but with an off the shoulder fit. This dress is so flattering for a bargain price of £6.99!

Have you bought anything nice recently?

Model's Own Haul/Win

Hi Guys,

A few weeks ago I entered a Models Own twitter giveaway (just by retweeting their tweet - so easy!) and I won a £10 voucher to spend on Models Own's website.

As each polish is £5 I picked up two colours.

Utopia and Purple Grey

As you can see I picked up Utopia which is a pale nude/pink, similar to Essie's Fiji. However, I wasn't very impressed that my bottle came with a half ripped off sticker!
I also picked up Purple Grey, which as it says is a purple grey colour. I can't wait to wear this through autumn and winter as it's such a beautiful colour.

Which are your favourite Models Own colours?

September Favourites 2013

Hi Guys,

Back with my September favourites this month, which are mainly nail related.

I'm usually a person who changes their nail colour 2/3 times a week with which any colour tickles my fancy.
However, this month I've been stripping back a lot. I was starting to notice my nails were getting very stained (even using a base coat) so I decided to stop wearing nail polish, or if I did, a very neutral colour.
There will be a post in more detail coming later this month about my new nail care routine, so (shameless plug) follow me to know when that goes up!

When my nails have been naked I've been applying my saviour, OPI Nail Envy. It's really strengthened my nails as they were breaking a quite a bit.
When I've had colour on my nails it's been Essie's Fiji, a gorgeous pale pinky/white colour and I've been pairing this with the Bourjous Laser Toppings in Sun Scales on my ring finger. The lasers on top of the colour gives it a bit of an exciting edge rather than just plain nails.

My next favourite is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask which I won't talk about to much as I did a full review on it here. I've been applying this mask twice a week and I can really see the difference in my skin!

My final favourite is the MAC Blush in Prom Princess from the Archie's Girls collection. It's just a beautiful true pink colour and looks really lovely on the cheeks. I used it in an OOTN post which you can see here.

What have been your favourites this month?

OOTN: Clubbing #3

Hi Guys,

Another outfit of the night post for you when I was out clubbing once again.
This Saturday was the first 21st birthday of my friends so we were out celebrating.

I dressed prepared for a hot and sweaty club because of Fresher's Week.

My skirt is from Topshop 2 years ago (I bought it just before my Fresher's Week - crazy how fast time goes!). I paired it with a simple black tank top and my black converse.

For my face, I started with the Smashbox Photo Finish Dark Spot Correcting Primer and followed this with the Bourjois Bronzing Primer as a contour. I used my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC30 and then my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover up under my eyes any final redness. My blusher was the MAC Powder Blush in Prom Princess from the Archie Girls collection.

My eyes were done using the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I swept Sin all across my lid, gently applied Creep into my outer v and Virgin as a highlight under my brows. I used the Collection Eyeshadow Pencil in Vanilla Sky as an inner corner highlight. My eyeliner is the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in Black and my mascara is Maybelline The Rocket in Black. I filled my eyebrows in with a Natural Collection eyeshadow in Crushed Walnut.

Review: Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Hi Guys,

After hearing raves about it on youtube/blogs, I finally caved and bought the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and I'm so glad I did!

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's an overnight mask which your skin absorbs through the night leaving it looking moisturised and refreshed when you wake up.

It has an odd smell (I quite like it) which I think is a mixture of the fruit extracts and the seaweed from the ingredients.

The mask itself comes out white but applies clear and isn't sticky once applied so no worries of it rubbing off on your pillow. You just wash it off in the morning and you're skin looks great!

I apply the mask twice a week so my skin stays moisturised, especially as I'm on Roaccutane (you can see my recent Roaccutane Diary here)

A set back of £22 for 100ml isn't back considering you can see differences the morning after you use it!

Which are your favourite Origins products?

Roaccutane Diary: September 2013

Hi Guys,

I'm on the homeward bound of coming off roaccutane after being on it for 9 months (which has flown by).
In my last roaccutane diary (which you can read here), I said I'd been cut down from 60mg to 40mg in preparation for coming off completely wooo!

Week 32
I've only been down a dose for a week and already I can feel moisture coming back to my skin! Although I'm still applying lip balm more than the average person, I'm definitely not putting it on as much anymore. When I spent the day this week with two of my friends, even they noticed I was applying it less often! My skin has had no breakouts, and the dry patches I've been struggling with recently have started to fade!

Week 33
This week has been just the same as the last! The amount of time I can go without my lip balm is slowly increasing - I went to Go Ape (which I highly recommend) and was up in the trees for 2 and a half hours without one application of lip balm!!

Week 34
Once again, this week has been exactly the same, so there isn't much to comment on! I also didn't take a picture as my skin was exactly the same as week 33.

Week 35
I'm now on my final month of Roaccutane and have been cut down to 20mg! I started the course of tablets on 30mg so this is the lowest strength of been on yet and I'm hoping i'll be able to feel that on my lips! The dryness I've been suffering (apart from on my lips) has completely gone and I haven't had a spot in a while!

Stay tuned for the next instalment of my Roaccutane Diary

Haul: ELF

Hi Guys,

I have a little haul from ELF to show you today. I bought this stuff a couple of weeks ago when I had a 50% off code so it only cost me £8.64 - bargain or what?!

The first thing was just a fan brush for me to apply powder highlight.

The blush is 'Peachy Keen' and is a lovely (as you might have guessed) peach colour with a slight simmer.

My final item was a mineral lipstick in 'Rich Raspberry', which is a gorgeous berry colour perfect for autumn/winter.

Do you have any favourite products from ELF?

August Favourites 2013

Hi Guys,

I haven't done a favourites post since May, so I'm back on track! Unfortunately, there hasn't been that many items I've been loving this month, so here is the few that I have.

For my body, I've been loving the Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser. I won't go on too much about it as I did a review on it here.

My favourite scent this month has definitely had to be the Victoria's Secret Love Spell body spray. It smells like Cherry Blossom and Peach (as it says on the bottle) and it just so girly and fresh! You can see my blog post about Victoria's Secret opening in the North here.

My final two products are both for the lips.
Through the day at work I've been wearing the Maybelline Baby Lips in 'Cherry Me', and it's a nice sheerness of colour for whilst I'm at work, whilst also giving me some moisture.

Every time I've been out this month, I've pretty much worn the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Pen in 'Sunset Red'. They are so pigmented yet moisturising at the same time, I love them!!

What have your favourites been this month?
