MUA Haul

A few days ago I popped into Superdrug to pick up a new clear mascara from MUA as I use it as my brow gel, but ended up walking out with other things instead of what I went in for! (Typical)

It's only a small MUA haul but I thought it would be good to get it up as all the products are new!

I first picked up the Pro-Base Eye Primer which was £2.50. I've already given it ago and my eye shadow didn't crease all day!

I then picked up 2 of the new cream blushers as I love wearing cream blush in spring/summer. They are £2 each which I think is amazing, and I have already worn 1 and it looked great.
They are quite sheer but are buildable to a more vibrant colour.

Bittersweet and Dolly

Roaccutane Diary: April 2013

Welcome to my 4th instalment of my Roaccutane Diary, you can find March's post here!

Week 10
The spots from my recent break out have taken longer than normal to heal up but they are slowly getting there!

Week 11
The spots are still slowly healing, but this week my lips have got so much worse! I'm having to use lip scrub everyday now, if not twice a day, and I am applying lip balm constantly! It's a pain but the end results will be worth it. The skin on my arms is getting drier as well so although I apply body lotion every day, I'm now applying it twice a day.

Week 12
This week I've had no spots and my lips have been manageable, but the skin on the rest of my body is getting worse.
My skin is super dry and flaky, especially on my right hand and is actually really uncomfortable and when I'm in the shower, because of the hot water, it's really painful!
Another side effect that has got worse this week which I haven't spoken about is my teeth/gums (strange I know). My gums bleed every time I brush my teeth, but not only that, they'll bleed when I eat something or even just start bleeding on their own! I have a constant taste of iron in my mouth and it's disgusting. I went to the dentist and he said there was nothing wrong with my teeth or gums so at my last appointment I asked the doctor and he said it wasn't a common side effect but there's no reason it can't be because of the Roaccutane.

Week 13
I've just come back from the hospital and as 60mg is the highest, I've been kept on it. My skin this week has been amazing with no spots. Other than that everything has stayed the same, my lips are dry but manageable and my gums are the same. The nurse at the hospital said my hand will start to get better as it gets warmer, as the extra long cold period in the UK has made my dried out skin due to the medication, even drier!

April Fashion Haul

I've never done a fashion haul on the blog before but I thought, why not?
Even though the weather has been rubbish in the UK, it hasn't stopped me buying spring clothes in the hope it will be nice and warm!

I love this shirt! It's so lightweight and for me, with the florals, completely screams summer!

This dress is so girly and will be so easy to just throw on a sunny day (if there ever is one!)

I love this necklace and can't wait to wear it with plainer outfits to make them something more!

I think this dress is so flattering, and I've already received compliments on it when I've worn it!

The colour of this top is so beautiful, and I love how the whole back is lace!

New Look

I've wanted a pair of high waisted striped shorts for ages so I'm so happy I've finally got them!
PS: The picture was taken wearing the shorts on a night out, that's why the background is different.

What's your favourite fashion trend for S/S?

Worldwide Wardrobe Competition: My Entry!

You may or may not have heard that Travel Supermarket is running the Worldwide Wardrobe competition where bloggers style outfits for specific events in a certain place with a budget of £200 for each outfit! You can read more about how to enter here.  This is my entry for the competition, I hope you like them!

Cocktails in New York

New York is the city I have dreamed of going to ever since I can remember! I've always felt as if I belong there, and I've never even been. This outfit is very Sex in the City-esq, as who wouldn't want a night out in the Big Apple as if you were Carrie Bradshaw and her gang? I'm always looking for an occasion to glam up and this is the perfect opportunity, as there's no other time I'd be able to pull off a green pencil skirt! The nude accessories compliment the skirt perfectly so they show it, and the statement green necklace off!

Sightseeing in Paris

If you can't dress cute and girly in Paris where can you?! Sightseeing requires a stylish yet comfortable outfit and I think this ensemble epitomises that. The dress and shoes are comfortable enough to walk round the city all day, whilst the blazer adds warmth incase you get a little chilly. The one thing I've learnt from sightseeing is that you always seem to end up with so much in your bag - from random little purchases to ticket stubs of where-ever you've visited, so this bag is big enough to house anything you pick up along your visit!

Clubbing in Ibiza
After many clubbing holidays with my friends, I've got dressing to party in hot environments nailed....I think! Everything needs to be breezy, hence the flowy shorts and loose top, but it needs colour! The pop of colour on the shorts go really nicely with the statement necklace. An over the shoulder bag is a must as you can party with both your hands free and heels are definitely a no-no, so sandals are perfect as they keep your feet nice and cool too! Nights out on holiday are meant to last till 5/6 am and there is no way you can do that in heels!

For this competition you also have to nominate 5 bloggers and let them know on twitter or facebook.

Haul: Sinful Colours, La Roche Posay, Bioderma, Barry M....

This post is a haul that's been coming for a while! My last haul was in February and since then I've done quite a bit of shopping!

As you can see I've got slightly nail polish obsessed recently, and can't get enough of buying more!

L-R: Sinful Colours - Pistache, Dancing Nails, Why Not
Barry M - Lychee, Prickly Pear
China Glaze - Four Leaf Clover

I've gone very spring/summer with my colours even though it's been snowing over in England! I can't wait to get painting more bright colours to make me feel like summer is here!

If you follow my Roaccutane Diaries (posts herehere and here) then you'll know I've had to change my skincare routine to fit around being on the medication, especially as it's drying out my skin.

My moisturiser of choice is La Roche Posay Effaclar H (A compensating soothing moisturiser for oily skin made fragile by over-drying skincare). It's an amazing moisturiser so this is a repurchase, but as I can't find it in any shops I ordered it online from Zest which I've heard about through Vivianna Does Makeup. Whilst I was on the website, I decided to treat myself to a little bottle of Bioderma Sebium H20 (which is the one for acne prone skin) as so many people talk about it and I've never tried it. My last skin care item is the Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion as since my medication dose has been increased my skin has been really, really dry so I needed to step up the intensity of my moisturiser to help!

For make up, my most exciting purchase is the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette which I've been lusting over for ages, and as a treat my parents bought me it! I was so so excited, and it came with a free sample of the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, which I can't wait to try!

Then from Boots, I've bought the new L'Oreal Glamshine Stain Splash in Juliet, the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in Black and finally, Revlon have brought the new spring colours of the Lip Butters to the UK and as my first ever post was an ode to how much I love the lip butters I had to get one in Juicy Papaya

So there you have my large post!
Have you bought anything new recently?

20th Birthday

Hi Guys,
This is a bit of a random post, bought I thought it would be nice!
I've just turned 20 so here's a little post about my birthday/celebrations.

I had a party at uni before we broke up, shared with one of my friends as she's born a week after me! It was a really fun night (from what I can remember...) but here are some pictures from pre-drinks.

My actual birthday was on Saturday 30th March and I spend the day with my family then all my friends came round in the evening to just relax as we hadn't all been together yet since coming home from uni!

I got some lovely presents including...
The candle seems like an odd scent to receive, but I have an odd love for the smell of talcum powder!
The penguin gifts were from one of my best friends who knows my obsession with penguins, the car sticker is now proudly stuck on my car!

One of the best things I got was from my group of friends. We have a thing in our friendship group to make DVD's for people's birthday. I always seem to be involved with making them but never received one and this year it was my turn! It's so funny and lovely and I keep watching it over and over again.

So there is a little snippet of my day!
No longer a teenager, where did the time go?!

March Favourites 2013

Hi Guys!
Here are my March favourites - there aren't that many as I've been overloaded with uni work and my job this month so unless I was going into uni, I've barely left the house!
However, I'm home for the Easter holidays now so can't wait to catch up with all my friends!!

Treacle Moon Her Mango Thoughts Bath and Shower Gel
This shower gel lives in my bathroom at home, and I've completely fallen in love with it since it's been a while since it was used! It smells, to me, like summer in a bottle! You can buy Treacle Moon products from Tesco and I'm pretty sure it was only £2.99 - bargin!

Essie Bikini So Teeny Nail Polish
This is one of my absolute favourite nail polishes but I've left it unloved for a while. When I decided to wear it again a couple of weeks ago, I've no idea why I abandoned it! It's a gorgeous blue/lilac colour with very small flecks of glitter in. I always get compliments when I wear this colour!

Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black
I've had this for about 6 months and have been wearing it every time I've had make up on recently! It's so easy to apply as the nib is super thin, and it lasts all day. It makes doing a flick really easy and fast too.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush
I bought this product at the end of Feb, so click here to see a swatch. I've been reaching for this as my everyday lip product, as it's so fast to apply when I'm in a rush for uni (which is practically all the time). It lasts a long time,  and the colour goes with whatever I'm wearing!

What are your March Favourites?
