Almost there...

I hold my hand up and say I've been a rubbish blogger this past year.

I thought I'd be able to juggle blogging and my final year at university and well, I haven't.
Getting the best level degree I can get as been my priority so my blog was pushed to the back burner, but that doesn't mean my love for beauty has.

As I'm writing this, I'm on a very quick revision break before my final exam tomorrow!! I can't believe four years of university ends tomorrow!!!

I'm moving back home on Friday with lots more free time without the stress of assignments and exams, so Liora's Beauty World will be back in business.

For all those of you currently sitting exams, keep hanging in as it'll be all worth it in the end (I hope) and I for one can't wait for the celebrations tomorrow night. Someone hand me the champagne....

My Empties

Hi Guys,

I really enjoy watching/reading empty review posts as you can get peoples true opinions on the products once they've used them all up.

I've been collecting my empty products for the past month so I'm going to share with you my opinions on them in case you were interested in trying them out.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Floral & Flirty Blush
I've used the Batiste dry shampoo in this scent for ever. I absolutely love it and it soaks up my greasiness without leaving any grey bits. The amazing smell is obviously a bonus. I need to go get a new one ASAP!

The Body Shop Blueberry Shower Gel + Body Butter
I love the Body Shop shower gel's and body butter's and the limited edition blueberry scent that came out last year smelt amazing!! Every time I came out of the shower and paired the shower gel and body butter together I got so many compliments on how good I smelt. I'm currently on the limited edition glazed apple scent shower gel that came out at Christmas and a Mango body butter. If the blueberry scent comes out again this summer, I'm definitely getting my hands on it!

Soap & Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator
I bought this 'night & flight moisture miracle' for my long haul travelling this past summer. It was amazing at keeping my skin hydrated on the long planes as well as extra moisture once I was in the sun all day. I carried on using it as my night moisturiser when I came home and it was great. I haven't repurchased this as I received a tester of another moisturiser that I loved so I'm currently using that (post coming soon). When I do any long haul travelling in the future, this will definitely be top of my list to take on the plane!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +
I noticed I massive difference in my skin when I first used this product. I then used it till the end thinking it was bit of gimmick product until I stopped using it when it finished. Within a a few days I noticed just how much this was actually doing for my skin and rushed back out to buy a new one! It keeps my skin from looking congested as well as helping control blackheads.

Garnier Express 2 in 1 eye make up remover
I can't recommend this eye make up remover enough! It wipes off any eye make up so effortlessly as even tackles stubborn waterproof mascara. I'm on my second bottle and I don't see myself going off it any time soon.

Nivea Stress Protect deodorant
I use deodorants until they stop working on me - I don't know if that's an actual thing? I'm currently on my 5/6th bottle of this one and used up 2 in the past couple of months. There's not much to say about it other than it works.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is a staple and always will be (lets hope they never discontinue it). It covers anything I need to perfectly and lasts all day. I had another tube ready to go before this one had even finished as I don't think I could be without it for a few days!

Smashbox Photo Finish Dark Spot Correcting Primer
I loved this primer, My make up lasted longer than normal when I was wearing this. My only problem was, I don't think you ever use enough to benefit or see changes to dark spots. When this finished, I still purchased a smashbox primer just not the dark spot correcting one.

Bourjois Happy Light Base Serum Matte Primer
This primer was good but not as good as my smashbox primer. It did have a very siliconey feeling on  my skin which I wasn't a massive fan of. I don't think I'll be buying this again.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
There's not much to say except this is my absolutely holy grail mascara! I had another tube waiting and will do for the foreseeable future! It doesn't clump and makes my eyelashes amazingly long. People really have asked if I'm wearing false eyelashes on when I'm wearing this. However, I don't wear it when I have my glasses on as it makes my eyelashes too long and they scrape my lenses!

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara
This is the mascara I wore when I had my glasses off. I love this mascara and it adds lots of volume to my lashes without clumping. I didn't repurchase it as I had a CoverGirl mascara waiting which I bought when I was in LA to try out. I would definitely buy this again though!

There you have my empties!
Would you consider buying any of these?

Space NK Haul/Review

Hey guys,

The last time I posted I said I was back blah blah blah and then I went away again. I'm not going to lie and say I'm back for good this time, my posts are definitely going to be sporadic. I'm in my final year of university and things are hectic - my dissertation is in 3 1/2 weeks so everything is go!!
Speaking of my dissertation, I'm doing it on how social media is changing cosmetic marketing so I'd really appreciate it if any of you could fill in my questionnaire - it takes less than 5 minutes!!

A few weeks ago I went to Lily Pebbles and Vivianna Does Make Up Beauty Chat Live. It was so lovely and amazing to meet both Lily and Anna after watching their videos for so long!

Of course, serious spending was done and I've finally got time to post about the products I bought and I'm loving them!

Ren Invisible Pores Detox Mask

This mask is for combination to oily skin, of which I'm very much on the oily end! I was looking for a mask to help combat the pores on and around my nose as they were getting bigger all the time. This mask states it purifies and detoxifies to reduce the appearance of oiliness, open pores and blackheads.
I've been using it twice a week since I bought it and I'm in love!! I really notice a visible difference as soon as I wash it off.

Becca Beach Tint - Guava

Becca is a brand I'd heard of due to the becca shimmering skin perfector but it's not a brand I'd ever looked into buying. At the Beauty Chat Live event, a Becca make up artist was there to try products on people and when she applied this onto my cheeks I was sold. It's a gorgeous pink blush that can also be used on the lips. I just squeeze out a small dot onto my fingers and blend it into my cheeks. It's a water based product (which means it needs a shake before use) so lasts for ages and give a natural glow! The best bit - it contains fruit extracts so it smells DIVINE!

Nars Creamy Concealer - Custard

This is a product that unless your living under a beauty rock, you've heard everyone and their mother rave about. My current concealer had a few uses left so I was in need of a new one.
I'm so glad I tried this, it really covers my dark circles and any blemishes I have around my face. It's long lasting and doesn't crease on me. Definitely give this a go if you're still hesitant on buying it.

What's on your Space NK wishlist?

Some New Additions

Hi Guys,

I've got a few new additions to my make up collection to share with you today.

In November my dad went to New York for the weekend and he was sent with the instructions to come home with the Tarte The Sculptor as I had seen loads of people using it and looked like an easy way to quick contouring.
He did one better and also came home with the Tarte Park Ave Princess palette which includes a bronzer (in Park Ave Princess), a blush (in posh) and a highlighter (in champagne gold). It's a gorgeous palette and I can't wait to start using it - rounds of applause for dad (and the lady in Sephora who helped him).

Tarte The Sculptor

Back on home turf, as a massive fan of the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoos I picked up Creamy Beige from the Leather Effect collection. It's a perfect matte light taupe colour which I've been using as a base for my everyday eyeshadow.

I've recently got into lip liners as a base for other lip products or wearing them on their own. After seeing the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob being mentioned around YouTube and blogs, I thought it was only right to pick it up. It's a gorgeous creamy, soft beige pink colour and I think suits my skin colour nicely.

What have you been buying recently?

Review: Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment

Hi Guys,
Today I've got a review of the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

At 21, eye creams to reduce lines and wrinkles aren't on the top of my skincare routine but an eye cream to keep my eyes hydrated is.
My under eyes went through a slight dry patch before using this eye-cream where concealers, foundations and powders would crease as they were sticking to the dry patches but this eye-cream ahs turned everything around.

It's a thick consistency yet super creamy and doesn't feel caked on once applied. I apply it every night before going to sleep and my under eyes feel extremely hydrated when I wake up. It smells really nice and a little goes a long way so it's definitely worth the £20 price tag.

I've been using it for a few months now and I don't see myself switching eye creams until it's time to start tackling pesky wrinkles (I'm hoping still a while to go!).

What is your favourite eye cream?

I'm Back

Hello people!!

I last posted in September to say I was taking a break as I was really busy but only expected it to be for a few weeks. Somehow, that break turned into it being December!!

There's so many reasons for the break being so long but the main one is I'm now in my final year of university. I've always been good at time management but somehow this year, any spare moment I have is either doing uni work, working for my job or sleeping so blogging was pushed to the bottom of the list.

Everything I've bought or done these past few months, I've always thought just blog it and you can get back in the game but then something else crops up instead.

I'm not going to lie, January is going to be crazy - I've got 3 massive uni deadlines so I can't promise January will be consistent but whilst December is slightly quieter I'm going to try and pre-write as much as I can.

I'm so happy you've all stuck with me through the long break and somehow my page views and followers have gone up whilst being away so thank you!

With that all in mind, I'm off to write blog posts!!

Life Update

Hi Guys,

This post is just to give you all a little update on my life and why my blog may be a bit quieter for the next couple of weeks.

My last post may have been on Thursday but it was actually written 3 weeks ago. Before going on my family holiday I pre-wrote posts to keep me going until I came back from holiday and could write new content. However, writing new content seems to have gone out of the window.

I came back with severe jet lag and less than 24 hours after we'd landed back home, I was up and getting ready to go back to work. It took a while for me to get over how tired I was not as I didn't give myself a chance to get over it. Two days (and a whole weekend later) I've just finished celebrating a friends 21st and tomorrow I'm off on holiday with her. I've not had time to think, to sort my room out or to pack let alone find the time to take blog photos or write posts.

I'm really annoyed about it as I'd been on such a role with my posts but sometimes there is nothing I can do and unfortunately I don't see much time coming up to get back started in September.
The day after I land from my next holiday I'm back at work for a week until I move back to University where freshers week and catching up with friends I haven't seen for months will take over as will (I'm sure) the workload of my final year of university.

Once I've settled into my new house, new schedule and new workload I'll be back in force but I am hoping to be back a little sooner than that.

Sometimes, life takes over what you really want to do and right now it is but I know it's for the best. After my placement year, I'm so excited to enjoy my final year at uni now I know what working life is really like!!

Anyways, I hope you all understand but right now I don't know where I'd find the time to write posts.
Love,
